About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Coordinator to support our Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions. This role will be responsible for managing payment processes, ensuring accuracy of vendor records, recording bank transactions, performing revenue collections, and assisting with expense analysis and audit preparations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and have experience with QuickBooks and common accounting workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable:
- Process bill payments via checks, wires and ACH transfers; accurately record transactions in QuickBooks.
- Generate biweekly reports for the AP Coordinator.
- Maintain accurate records and vendor data in Salesforce (SF).
- Record and reconcile credit card expenses.
- Analyze credit card expenses by vendor; track vendor usage and provide recommendations.
- Prepare journal entries for month end accruals.
- Accounts Receivable:
- Apply A/R payments and investigate discrepancies or missing remittances.
- Perform A/R collections efforts, including regular follow-ups with customers to ensure timely receipt of payments.
- Record daily bank transactions, including A/R payments and drafts.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Conduct expense analysis.
- Provide support in preparation for the annual financial audit, as needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in both AP and AR roles.
- Understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with Salesforce software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with vendor payments, credit cards, and expense reporting.

Additional Information- Employment type: Full-time and long-term. W2 Salary.
- Salary: $53,000-$58,000.
- Duration: 12+ months contract with the possibility of renewal depending on business needs and performance.
- Location: Minneapolis, MN. Hybrid.
- Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
