Functional Product Manager - Retail/E-commerce

Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), TX
Full Time
Experienced

About Us

Concord isn't your typical consulting firm; we're an execution company. We help organizations move technology and AI initiatives from concept to measurable capability, working alongside our clients from the initial definition of success through full implementation and adoption.

Our team brings expertise across artificial intelligence and data, digital experience, and platform engineering, enabling the organizations we serve to build lasting internal capability. We operate as a global team, with a presence across the United States, Latin America, Europe, and India, giving our clients access to specialized talent and continuous coverage across time zones.

About The Role

We're seeking a Functional Product Owner / Business Analyst to support a retail e-commerce client's ongoing storefront modernization and platform migration efforts. This is a business-facing role, not a deeply technical one: you'll sit at the intersection of business stakeholders and the development team, translating requirements, technical discussions, and migration decisions into clear, actionable user stories. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on executing within a defined scope and translating direction into requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Define and own the product vision & roadmap for web, mobile, and omnichannel retail experiences aligned to business objectives.
  • Translate business strategy into functional e-commerce solutions, ensuring alignment with platform capabilities and best practices.
  • Translate business and technical conversations into clear, well-documented Jira user stories and requirements for the development team.
  • Support an active storefront/platform migration effort by capturing business functionality, workflow, and process requirements tied to the migration.
  • Participate in calls with technical stakeholders and convert relevant technical detail into business-readable requirements — you won't be expected to design solutions, only to understand and document impact.
  • Partner with a separate project/delivery manager who owns sprint and scrum management.
  • Use AI tools to help speed up story-writing, design documentation, and general documentation output.
  • Execute against direction from business stakeholders rather than setting or challenging technical strategy.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years in product management, with at least 4 years in e-commerce and/or omnichannel retail.
  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) experience strongly preferred (hands-on architecture experience not required — general landscape familiarity is acceptable). Experience with other major commerce platforms is a plus.
  • Understanding of APIs, integrations, and retail system architectures (OMS, ERP, CRM).
  • Proficiency with data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience writing user stories and requirements in Jira.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical discussions into clear business requirements, without needing to write code or design technical solutions.
  • Exposure to a migration involving Salesforce SFRA and composable/headless commerce architecture.
  • Familiarity with using AI tools to accelerate documentation, story-writing, or design work.
  • Strong background in Agile/Scrum product development.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in beauty, cosmetics, personal care, health & wellness, or related retail sectors is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field.

What We Offer

  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Comprehensive coverage to support your well-being.
  • Employer Contributions to Health Savings Accounts (HSA): Helping you save for medical expenses.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA): Options for healthcare and dependent care expenses, plus a $200 Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA).
  • Disability Insurance: Short- and long-term coverage, fully paid by the employer.
  • Life and AD&D Insurance: Employer-provided coverage, with options for additional voluntary coverage.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Access to personal and professional support resources.
  • Career Growth Opportunities: Pathways for advancement and skill development.
  • Team Engagement Activities: Regular team-building events and company-sponsored activities to foster collaboration and connection.
  • Paid Time Off and Holidays (Only W2 Salary*): PTO policy and paid company holidays.

Additional Information

  • Salary: $130,000 annually.
  • Location: Dallas, TX. Hybrid 2-3 days on site.
  • Employment time: full-time permanent hire with Concord.
  • Requirements: must be authorized to work legally in the US without sponsorship, now or in the future.
