About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in data architecture, big data technologies, and cloud-based data engineering for one of our clients in the Energy sector. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader who can design and implement scalable data solutions while mentoring junior team members and collaborating across business and technical teams.


Key Responsabilities

  • Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance data pipelines and ETL processes aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for data modeling, data product design, and integration.
  • Provide technical leadership and thought partnership in selecting, enhancing, and implementing data domain solutions.
  • Partner with Enterprise Data Management to define and maintain data standards, policies, and governance practices, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate data requirements into actionable technical solutions.
  • Mentor and guide junior data engineers in data architecture and engineering best practices.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain internal control standards and ensure timely resolution of audit or regulatory issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 12+ years of experience developing and integrating ETL applications and high-performance, reusable data pipelines.
  • 7+ years of experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark and Kafka.
  • Extensive experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, and Databricks.
  • Proven experience in data quality checks, customer data matching (fuzzy matching), and data validation frameworks.
  • Strong programming experience in Python and PySpark.
  • Solid understanding of SQL, SQL Server, and Vector Databases.
  • Familiarity with Databricks AI foundational models and Genie is highly desirable.

Job Specifications

  • Employment Type: 6-12 months contract. Possibility of renewal depending on personal performance and business needs. 
  • Salary: $65-75/hr W2 hourly or $75-$85/hr C2C. 
  • Location: On-site, 5 days a week. King of Prussia, PA.
  • Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
