About the Role

The Marketing Analytics Specialist will play a key role in enabling data-driven marketing strategies by analyzing performance across channels, providing insights, and developing analytical solutions that drive optimization in acquisition, engagement, and retention.

This role blends technical execution and analytical storytelling, requiring strong SQL and data modeling skills (Looker, BigQuery), as well as the ability to connect business goals with actionable marketing insights.

You’ll collaborate closely with marketing teams to measure campaign performance, optimize audience targeting, and uncover opportunities for improved ROI across digital and email marketing initiatives.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Partner with marketing and business stakeholders to understand measurement goals and translate them into actionable analytics plans.
  • Query and transform marketing data using SQL and BigQuery; develop dashboards and models in Looker (LookML) to support ongoing reporting.
  • Developing new Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics Workspaces in support of business questions.
  • Measure and analyze campaign performance across channels (email, digital, social, web) to uncover trends, opportunities, and optimization areas.
  • Support marketing optimization efforts, spanning acquisition, engagement, and retention, by identifying key levers and actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain key marketing KPIs and ensure reporting supports data-driven decision-making.
  • Execute ad hoc analyses and provide recommendations to improve campaign targeting, messaging, and performance.
  • Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to enhance marketing analytics capabilities.
  • Manage analytical workstreams from planning through delivery, ensuring data accuracy and timely completion.


What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing analytics, preferably with exposure to email marketing or digital campaign analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL (required); familiarity with BigQuery and Looker (or a willingness to learn LookML modeling).
  • Knowledge of marketing KPIs, campaign performance metrics, and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
  • Ability to interpret business questions and translate them into data-driven analyses.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with new technologies and learning on the go.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Additional Information

  • Employment type: Long-term full-time role employment. 
  • Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 annually. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and overall qualifications.
  • Location: Prefer candidates located in Kansas City. Occasionally, visiting the offices in Minneapolis or Kansas City might be required.
  • If remote, preferred locations include: Bay Area, LA, San Diego, Minneapolis, Richmond, Des Moines, Dallas, or Atlanta for occasional team events.
  • Requirements: must be authorized to work legally in the US without sponsorship, now or in the future.
